The tree on the right was hit by lightning a month ago and was not strong enough to withstand the wind. It fell in the afternoon and took half of a dead tree down with it and damaged a few slats of fence when it fell.
This tree was supposedly a healthy tree that just came crashing down around 8 pm last night while I was washing the dishes. The top of the tree is about 12 feet away from the house- the only damage is to a section of fence. It made us a little nervous- we had Clark sleep with Spencer (not in his attic room) and moved Laurel's crib away from the wall. Everyone is safe!
