Thanksgiving Vacation at Virginia Beach

As usual we did Fakesgiving with Scott's parents and his sisters and the whole crew two weeks ago. So, we had some free time on the actual holiday of Thanksgiving to take a trip. We went to Virginia Beach. It was a lovely Autumn trip.

We had an awesome breakfast on Thanksgiving morning

Then we took a hike at First Landing

The first of many sand penguins...

Then we spent our afternoon decorating Virginia Beach with these sand penguins.

Jen brought some hot chocolate, which was an awesome twist on enjoying the beach with a drink in hand.

The March of the Penguins

Our Thanksgiving Dinner was "Totchos" (loaded tater-tot/ nachos)

That night we had a fun time driving on the boardwalk to check out the Christmas light display.

The next day (Black Friday) we went to the military aviation museum. Fun place with lots to see.

We spent a lot of time hanging out and playing games. Legends of Runeterra anyone?

Laurel and Scott did a bonus hike in First Landing. This time they hiked all the way and Jen picked them up on the other end, just before sunset.

The next morning Jen and Scott got up for an Atlantic sunrise.

Then we all went to the Virginia Beach Aquarium.

On the way home, we stopped at Christopher Newport University to tour campus. This is on Clark's short list.
