How to make a ghost... without killing anybody

Life has been more interesting since Jen has been serving as a counselor in the Young Women's Presidency.  This month they are organizing a Halloween dance.  Halloween is one of the funner themes to decorate.
This weekend we made a pair of dancing ghosts for the dance floor.  They will be suspended from the ceiling or a basketball hoop.

First you cover yourself in semi-transparent trash bags, then wrap, wrap, wrap with clear packing tape to form a stiff shell.

Then you need to cut this open and slip out, like an exoskeleton.

Then tape it back together.

We did something similar for the legs on the man ghost.  Then for the heads we had to use styrofoam model, who doesn't need to breathe.

Then we dressed up our girl ghost with a trash bag skirt and flowing trashbag hair.

Then hang a camp light inside each of them... and turn out the lights.

Ready to haunt a dance
